To run ORNG gadgets, your research networking system needs an add-on that can make it interface with Shindig, the software that securely runs OpenSocial gadgets on your platform. Gadgets written on one platform can seamlessly run on any other platform.
SciVerse has done an amazing job supporting OpenSocial apps that run in their ScienceDirect product, via their own API. We're looking forward to working with SciVerse to ensure that gadgets written for ORNG can also run on the SciVerse platform.
